So far nothing to report in Transportation so I've been following along on the Facebook page.

Canadian invasion in Bournemouth this weekend.
Vera slept in town last Saturday on the way to attend some air shows around the south area. Counting the days for their display at the Bournemouth Air Festival this weekend.

If it could stay another couple of weeks, they could do the Southport airshow and I would have no reason to moan about all the venues being too far south (or north with Prestwick). I could watch them from my balcony or take a couple of minutes stroll onto the beach to take in the full atmosphere. :D

YES!! :D:D:D

I have just rechecked the list of dates and the stay is now extended to the 22nd of september, and the last displays the pair will be doing together will be both days of the Southport airshow on the 20th and 21st.

Just 500 yards from where I live, I couldn't ask for them to come any nearer.

I am a very happy bunny :D:D

The Vulcan is an annual visitor at Southport show, so with any luck they might have them in consecutive slots, so they can do a combined flypast as one slot ends and the other starts. THAT would be icing on the cake.

If they put the Lancs and Vulcan in consecutive slots I may have to attend the Southport Airshow as well as Duxford just in case - have seen the video of Thursdays three sisters flight and what a noise!

Great shots and the first shots of Vera on POTN by the look of it :)

It was 5am when I noticed that Vera is coming to Southport, and I was ready for bed, so didn't look any further into it. I have just checked the participation list for Southport and the Vulcan isn't on it this year, so it doesn't look like there is going to be a chance of the three together.

I will keep an eye on the list as these things do change, and report back if the Vulcan appears on it.

Amazing shots and a very nice composition.

Thank you all for the nice comments.

Really honored to be the first. I might say that it came out nicely thanks to PhotosGuy lessons on "Need an exposure crutch".
A big eye opener and gave me confidence to go all manual.

Using a 18-135mm STM, I was a bit short to get good in flight pictures, but got some keepers:

Thumper is also very charming!

I got the airport's barbwire on the way and thought to give this a little of nostalgic feeling

Really looking forward to seeing Vera at the Bournemouth Airshow now, have hired myself a 100-400 for the show basically solely for the Lancs and the Vulcan!

Well, she has finished her tour and will shortly be heading home again. I was lucky enough to catch her at the last official display, at Southport airshow, and got some decent light on the sunday too.

A couple of pictures are to be found here:

Great photos, nice and bright too - looks like you got some really nice conditions for them!

I managed to catch them at Duxford, amazing sight and sound - just wish the weather had been better as I'd have loved some shots as vibrant as these, all of mine have a lovely featurless grey background.

I know they said it won't ever happen againbut I am really hoping that doesn't turn out to be true.

We welcomed it to the Ottawa / Gatineau area (only 1 leg to go from here which it did on Sunday) & I added some photos to the Transportation section but today Vintage Wings added this very nice page to their Facebook page.

WOW. You might want to add it to the Transportation section where there's more traffic for this type of photo.
