Maybe that's what the animal behaviorists call super-normal stimulation; hang out a big red towel and the rose-breasted grosbeaks can't resist.

Thats a female I believe Cheryl. The Males are darker feathered and have that bright Orange red under there wing's that they can't hide until there an adult. I haven't seen one again since the other day. but I did see a female evening!!

That settles it Cheryl....I'm going right out and buy me a big red towel and some clothesline :)
Great set of some of my favorites with feathers. Love the pair of males just hanging out on the clothesline, and I think the Goldfinch goes well with red too!
