Help Me ID a New Visitor to My Yard

I was sitting by the window with my 7D + 70-200mm f/4 when I saw a "strange" bird perching on a low branch in the corner of my backyard. It was a shady foliage area approximately 50-60 feet from me. Between the distance and the lighting condition, the picture is not that good. However I hope it has enough details for someone to help ID this bird for me. Its size is approximately that of a cardinal. The geographic location is central North Carolina.
