Marbled Godwits

Yup there's 2 marbles here.

I was covered from the neck down in mud, from laying down. So I wouldn't scare them off.

Top notch set Trevor, the third one could go right on your nicest wall, the others are top notch too! Well done indeed!

Beautiful set of captures Trevor, and from where I sit well worth you getting muddy :)
#'s 2 & 4 are spot on portraits with great clarity and composition. I'll also have to applaud #1 as I'm sure it's not easy to get 2 in frame together. The 2nd IF image is outstanding. Excellent work!

Great captures Trevor. You are more dedicated than I for taking the mudbath.

Very nice, Trevor; my only shots of them are terribly backlight, so I'm quite envious of these.

Thank youI appreciate it.

I wanted so much for the 2 of them to be both in focus though, but they were too far apart. I actually consciously thought about doing a focus stack (like in macro) but the one in front never stopped walking. I have done a focus stack with birds a couple of times, but both subjects need to be stationary.
What I should have done is narrow my aperture, but I didn't want to miss the shot messing with buttons. Don't get me wrong I'm happy with the shot, but hindsight is 20/20 and I wish I had done better on that shot. Oh well, next time.

Great captures. A mudbath? Oh the things we endure for our craft. But it certainly paid off for you. Thank you for sharing.

All I want is just a little more than I'll ever have.
