Thank you all so much for the help!! You all have definitely persuaded me to buy the IS version used. I'll wait a week or two and see if the Canon website might get some more refurbs, but if not, I'll nab one from KEH. You guys are amazing!

I'm willing to bet anything bought from them rated EX or better is indistinguishable from new condition. You have a return window as well so you are covered if you decide to return the lens. Flickr
