Can anŷone recommend a case/ pouch for carrying/ protecting this camera. It will be carried within another bag so I don't need straps on it etc. really I just need a snug fitting case which won't add more than necessary to the bulk.

The canon leather case would be ideal but £59 seems a serious price to pay... Also looked at the lowepro dashpoint - the 20 looks like it might be too tight but the 30 a bit bulky. Apex 60 also looks good but again bulky to put inside another case.

Ay suggestions?

Cheers

Geoff

There are neoprene pouches on eBay.

Having used the Snapr20 for my smaller point-and-shoots like the S100 and G15, I opted to get the Snapr30. It's a shoulder bag as well as a camera sling in one. I can also attach a wrist strap if I don't need the case.

That's the one problem with the g1x, it's pretty big, and a bag of course just makes it bigger. The apex 60 actually fits very tight with the g1x, I returned mine and have the apex 100.

Another vote for the Apex 100. It's maybe a tad too bulky for your needs, but it does tuck into a compartment on my Nova 5 or Vertex 200. It also sits comfortably just behind the hip on a waist belt.
