Brewer's Blackbird portrait

This guy was perched on a rock and decided to move to the grass near. He actually got inside MFD on my 100-400.

These birds have the most interesting eyes. It makes you wonder why evolution selected for a dark bird with such light eyes. The contrast almost makes the bird look sinister. LOL

So true on all points. Only the males have the light eyes.
