Ok so I'm going to buy a Point n Shoot camera and I'm very indecisive.

I want one with good IQ in good and low lighting vices superb in good light and poor in low light. Also something with a some range that keeps a fairly good IQ through out the zoom and its portable.

I was almost going to pull the trigger on the Canon SX700 but the review for low light were not good.

The same with Nikon S9700, review on low light were not good.

Had contemplated getting the WX 350, RX100 , and HX50 from Sony but I have been disappointed with Sony before.

The camera is mainly for my wife and the budget around $400 or so.

Just some help and directions ..

You'll see a range of comments shortly I'm sure. My recommendation is to state your budget and see what others suggest. Mostly you'll do well whatever you buy. Just check reviews online to see if there are any glaring problems with the candidates you find.

My P&S of choice is the Canon G16. I used it on a weekend trip to NYC, shooting in normal and low light, and it worked fine. At times I went to ISO 6400 with no issue. It's a great little camera at a decent price. With the G16, you can go fully automatic, or you can go fully manual. Below are two from the trip.

I hope this helps. Good luck!
