MSRP $299 USD Release date June 30th, 2014

IMAGE: http://i58.tinypic.com/dhcyvp.jpg

Is anyone else questioning why the didn't keep the 22mm (35mm FOV) on the long end?

Regardless, I am excited to try this. I love my 10-22mm, and this one weighs even less for travel.
Paired with the SL1 (100D) I see no need to get the M2 and the adapter.
The SL1 even has a viewfinder as well.

I was interested in this lens to take on vacation instead of my Samyang 14mm (full manual and heavy) but it doesn't seem very sharp.

I never had a UWA lens before, so I don't have much to compare with but the I'm very happy with the lens. There are some CA and some distortation but nothing to get hung up about which is really sharp in my book. The optical quality is really good, about the same as my 18-135 STM I would say. Can't really get more bang for the buck with this lens. If you don't have a UWA and want one, you will not go wrong with this lens.
