Here a couple of photos from Saturday's overnight adventure on top of Mount Seymour. Forgot my tripod at home!! Thank god for IS and some clever thinking ;)

Any one has issues with keeping front element clean. Mine has lot of dirt and smudges.

Nope for me, usually I would put a protector filter.
I would clean using

1) using a blower to blow dirt and bigger particles
2) using a brush to brush off fine particles
3) using (zeiss) lens wipes and cleaning from the center to the outer circumference in a circular fashion

:-D

Just going back through some unprocessed pictures from last year and found these among them. I love the "big sky" effect you get with an UWA. And before anyone asks - no polariser!:-)

Am I seeing a handful of stars visible in this shot, even with what appears to be a fair amount of sunlight?

Thank you, Pekka! I'm sure some members here might have imagined that POTN might begin winding down. But that doesn't make the news any less disappointing. So generous of you to allow us to go along for the ride. As a result you gave us a way to help each other become better photographers. But there's still so much more to learn.

Thank you! The picture shows the moon rising, not the sun.
Sorry for my English)))
