Old Abandoned House

Hi folks,

I took this picture back in 2011 with an XSi and 18-55mm IS lens and re-processed it tonight in SNS-HDR. I would appreciate any feedback whether positive or constructive.

The tones in it look pretty good. Wish that the building wasn't distorted though.

Very nice framing, sky and exposure/processing. I agree you could straighten it some but the weeds in the foreground is the biggest negative for me.

I like this, Al. The exposure and contrast look pretty well controlled, though the sky might be pushed a little too rich for my taste. I happen to like the 'distortion' in the structure--I think that helps push a more informal, back woods feel to the building.

I also find the weed portion to detract a little but from the shot. I think rather than include them fully in the shot, I'd have at least attempted to push in a little and create some OOF foreground with some of it. It might have been a little too dense for that however; and perhaps you would have been so close that the distortion would have been pushed too far.

I would love to see this in Black and White!
