This may be a rule breaker . . . as this is NOT my image. My seven-year-old son took this photo, with his EOS M and EFM 18-55. I've got the camera set on Tv mode for him, at 1/125 sec, with ISO on auto. He frames his photos, and touches the screen where he wants it to focus.

I had to work on this one for him in post. He had something smeared on the lens (kids!) and the sky was a blotchy mess. He requested a couple of other changes, that I made for him (cropped it very slightly, and added little star bursts on a couple of areas).

He went on a field trip to the Glenbow Museum in Calgary, Alberta today. This image is of his school bus parked outside the museum, with the Calgary Tower in the background.

QUOTED IMAGE

I don't know what it is about this one. The image appealed at first sight. It must be the shapes because it can't be the color. airfrog gave it a Like before I did. Maybe he knows.

My one suggestion would be to bring the values, overall, closer together, so the sky would be slightly darker and the street slightly lighter.

PRONOUN ADVISORY: OhLook is a she. | A FEW CORRECT SPELLINGS: lens, aperture, amateur, hobbyist, per se, raccoon, whoa, more so (2 wds.), shoo-in | IMAGE EDITING OK
