train signals for loading/unloading a barge that transported oversize rail cars across the international border between Port Huron Michigan US and Sarnia Ontario Canada.

there is a tunnel constructed in 1891 (the first subaqueous train tunnel in the world and also an international crossing) that was too small for current day cars (intermodal shipping containers, vehicle carriers, excess height/length cars) so they the trains were broken down, the large cars barged across the river, and reassembled into a train.

in 1994 they finished a larger diameter tunnel and one of the loading ramps and lights became part of a riverwalk area...
