Hello,

after discussing in my another thread (https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1375944), I've decided to keep my 85L and I'm going to sell my Canon 100mm L.

I noticed, that I don't like to shoot real macros. Instead of this I like to make close ups of flower, people portraits and landscape in detail / infinity. I need a lens which gives me this flexibility.

I read a lot about these two lenses: Zeiss MP 100mm f/2 and Zeiss APO 135mm f/2.

I really don't know what fits better for my requirements? Which lens would make me most happy?

My current setup looks:
24mm TSE, 35mm f/1.4, 50L (will be replaced with Zeiss MP f/2), 85L and 200L.

What would you do?

I had the ZE 100/2 but sold it. Just got the ZE 135/2 APO and love it so far. APO is a big deal around here.

Why did you sold the ZE 100/2?

How does the ZE 135/2 perform at near distance?

The next Zeiss should make it better (better micro contrast, better color rendering and so)

I'm not happy with the MF setting of Canon lenses.

Just to prove that no lens is perfect, the ZE 135 is not IF. I do prefer IF lenses. And, I have started to use a 12mm ect. tube with it as well.

If .25x is enough for you then I'd go with the 135/2. It performs excellently close up (a little under a metre) and doesn't show the CA that occasionally crops up on the 100MP.
