I dont think I posted these yet. I went back out to get a better shot of the Elf Owls. This time I caught the male outside the nest on the saguaro cactus. It was exciting.
These photos were taken in absolute darkness with just a flash to light them. Manual focus and exposure setup. 7d+100-400L
This owl is the world's smallest owl at 5" tall. Luckily they breed very well and are not rare.

Congrats on the catch Jeremy, 5" tall. wow would never think of an Owl that small. Great shots in total blackness.
