Technically, this image was a bear to shoot...now that it's finished, I don't know if I like it. What say you guys?

I quite like it, 3 is always a good number. That bright green at the bottom of the picture intrudes rather. I'd be inclined to crop as much of it as possible.

I think it is quite nice. I agree the green is a little off, but it makes a nice element in the drops. Maybe rather than crop, try darkening it so it goes with the bit at the top right.

Not sure that I would do either because the bright green shows in the bottom drop. It's hard to be sure because the image is a little large for this monitor.

Looks fake!

The way the first attaches to the stalk especially and the way the drop extends to a very sharp point - not sure water can do this - or that the image through this tail would look like that - would be blurred? I looks like photoshop distort.

Arguably lots of shots like this would use focus stacking etc, and so are in a sense fake so I'm not criticising faking it as such - it looks like you had fun in photoshop :)

It's certainly an interesting shot and very well done but I can't see it hanging on a wall anywhere. It just doesn't have staying power with me as a viewer.

And there-in lies the problem Dave...I took my own advice and put it on my desktop. It failed to grab me as well.

I like your small worlds in even smaller droplets but agree with you this is not the one that will hang on the wall.
Perhaps s one of those shots where the great image comes somewhere a few thousand tries after almost anyone sane would have give up.

Enjoyable as an abstract, moving the elements around until it resonates.
This may not be the one but its a cool idea.
