So I have recently found myself with a job with a relatively long commute from my apartment, it's usually around 45 minutes to get there and an hour to get home. After a few months there I have pretty much exhausted myself on the local radio stations and I listen to music all day long at work, anyways long story short I am starting to discover podcasting.

I have been listening to a lot of Jared Polin's fro knows photo podcasts along with a few NPR productions and The Adam Savage Project. What else is out there that I should be checking out? It doesn't have to be photography related but I would love more photography based casts to check out.

I appologize if there is a list running somewhere else but I did a couple searches and didn't find anything.

I am not very familiar with podcasts but I do enjoy watching the Art of Photography show by Ted Forbes on YouTube.

He has his audio podcasts available for free on iTunes (external link)apparently.

I'd be interested to hear any other suggestions by other people because I'll be doing quite a bit of driving this coming weekend and would like some podcasts to help kill the time while I am behind the wheel.

The top 5 that I listen to are:
Big Picture Science
Freakonomics Radio
The Moth
Stuff you missed in history class
Stuff you should know

I can also highly recommend:
The Gundudes
Dan Carlins hardcore history
Betty in the sky with a suitcase
Runner Academy with matt johnson
Everyday runners with matt johnson
Amateur Traveler
ProArms podcast
APM market place
The naked scientists
NPR technology podcast
The Powerfactor show
StarTalk radio show by neil degrasse tyson

For photography I've listened to:
Improve Photography
Martin Bailey Photography podcast
Jeff curto's camera position
This week in photo

I could never really get into the photography ones because they're kinda boring.

Today I revisited itunes university and saw a few college lectures that might be interesting including some science ones and a photography class.

Awesome thanks for all of the input, I'll be sure to check these out. Stuff you should know was on top of the recommended podcast on pocketcast this morning so I gave it a shot and found it really entertaining.

I can agree on the Freakonomics. A friend turned me on to them.
Something about them is addictive. I went back and started at at the beginning.
It is the only podcast I am currently subscribed to.

^ I just started listening to old episodes of Planet Money and Memory Palace.
Once I finish those I will start 99% Invisible.
