So I'm down to just the 35/2 IS at the moment. There's about 3 lenses that I'm thinking about that will help fill some of the void.

But in the meantime, I'd like to hear from some of you that like using a 35mm prime as to what you use it for, how you use it, what types of compositions work best, etc.

I'm a fan of "street photography" but the execution of it has always been lost onto me. What advice can you give me?

Those are lovely! Today's my first day with the lens and with just the few snaps I've taken around the house this evening I gotta say I am very impressed with the performance of this lens. I can't wait to get out and about with it!

move your feet to find the best perspective, explore lower/higher ground when close to subject, add elements to the foreground behind focus line with more distant subjects.

this for environmental shots.

For the arquitectural stuff you showed I'd go with a wider lens.

Don't forget to download the latest eos utility and load the 35mm f2 IS lens profile into the camera... The cd that came with my 6d was an outdated one and didn't have the profile available...

Yes, I love the 35 is. I've got a 35 is and 85Lii prime combo. I'll probably get the Rokinon 14mm to go with it.

6D, Zenitar 16 f/2.8 Fisheye, Rokinon 14mm Cine, 35 f/2 IS, 85 f/1.2L mk2, 24-70 f/2.8L mk2, 70-200 2.8L IS mk1
