Does anyone have experience with this lens?

I want to get a superzoom for my SO's 100D (SL1) - she already has a 10-22, 40 pancake and 18-55 STM, and now she wants a telephoto zoom. However she doesn't want to travel with too many lenses when we go on holiday so a superzoom fits the bill. Alternative is to go for 55-250 (?) but that defeats the "fewer is better" principle.

The Sigma did well on DxOMark (http://www.dxomark.com …ens-review-Worthy-upgrade (external link)) vs. its competitors (i.e. the Canon 18-200).

Thoughts? The Canon is £405 and the Sigma is £269. It will be used for generic travel photography - some landscapes, some portraits, whatever takes her fancy.

it definitely looks like it's one of the better superzooms out now...may want to wait and see how the tamron 16-300VC stacks up though
