Did a little low tech shooting over the weekend. Found a couple packs of Fuji FP-100c, slightly outdated but only $2.00 apiece. Drug out an old Polaroid 230 I've had laying around for years, hacked and cobbled in a couple newer style batteries and loaded it up. Here's a few scans.

Thank you, Pekka! I'm sure some members here might have imagined that POTN might begin winding down. But that doesn't make the news any less disappointing. So generous of you to allow us to go along for the ride. As a result you gave us a way to help each other become better photographers. But there's still so much more to learn.

Took some shots at Easter dinner and really dazzled some folks. They'd never seen an old Polaroid camera in action! The kids these days...

Thanx, Pauley! I usually show up at these events with my 60D so I did get a few "WTF" looks when I drug out this Polaroid from the '60s. A few people were surprised that it didn't spit the picture out automatically and were stunned when I had to physically rip the guts out of it. I've shot a little bit of Polaroid stuff over the years but had kind of forgotten about how magical the whole process is. ;-)a

Scanned the prints at 600 lpi but it kind of changes the feel of the print when you view them full size. It exaggerates the softness a bit too much and Polaroids are meant to be snap shot size. Made an 8x10 of the mastodon on my inkjet and it printed nicely, but it looks better from a few feet away.

Hey, look! It's my 500th post... Do I win something? :p

Interesting drip setup, modern or vintage?

This gives me an idea for at home (or at work), thanks, nice layout and image(s).

It's modern. It's a Yama cold drip tower. about 4 hour brew time for ~32oz

I think our monitors are calibrated differently. You said my photo was overexposed, and for me, all your photos are underexposed.

Mine is calibrated with a Spyder4Pro.
