I recently paid $525.00 for the 15-85 by itself. Add a gripped 60D, a nifty fifty and everything else that comes with this and it's an amazing deal. I agree with Will, the 15-85 is amazing. My 60D was a fantastic body.

I'll be meeting the guy sometime this week. He's a friend of mine and claims 9k on the body. What should I check on it? Panasonic HC-X1000 | Canon 600D Gripped | Canon 7D Gripped

Turn it upside down on the 60D and see how tight it is and if it creeps with gravity.

Turn it upside down on the 60D and see how tight it is and if it creeps with gravity. Check to see how much dust is in it on both ends of the lens. Take a photo of the blue sky (or fill the frame with a solid colour and at f/9 - check for dust spots from the sensor. See that the 60D body has the battery/SD card door if the battery grip is attached. If any issues with the above, explain the issues to your friend - (he will see you are knowledgeable) and ask for a further price reduction. I have learned that unless you ask for a better price - you won't get it ![]() Still a great bargain - wow.... crazy.... Will makes excellent suggestions. Also, make sure all the buttons and dials are working as expected. Basically run it through it's paces. If your friend is ok with it, reset the camera to factory settings to eliminate any settings he may have made, which could make the camera perform differently, i.e. back button focus (i'm horribly guilty of selling bodies that I didn't reset before i sold) and button assignments. Shoot images at different settings and in different modes. If you have any experience, which I assume you do with a body, a lot of this will be common sense to you. If this is as clean and performs as it should, you cannot really beat this price.
