Very cute pose and beautiful young lady.

I would have gotten down to her level, so that she's not looking upward at the camera. I also would have shot straight into the chair rather than slightly oblique to it. I would also blackout the light spill from her hair light onto the background around the chair.

Lovely shot though.

The skin smoothing technique is very simple. I do a Gaussian blur layer, mask eyes and hair then cut the opacity until skin detail begins to return. Since this subject had pretty smooth skin to start with the opacity was cut to about 30%.

Does a girl of that age need skin smoothening? We're not talking about someone with wrinkles, etc. where that would be an enhancement.

that was my thought as well. It might look better at full res, but at the res you posted the picture at, it looks a bit plasticy. Otherwise, with a slight improvement in highlight control, it's a keeper :)
