Sticky - Where for storage?

Just wondering this section is part "storage" but I do not see a sticky for a storage. I wish there was one for storing photos offline - trying to get my head around some options with hardware raid 0 & 1 software etc.
Read some Drobo experiences were it is a PIA (pain in the a**) if it goes out on you as it is a proprietary file format.

"storage" originally meant eg Camera bags, back packs etc.
Store your equipment, rather than store you files.

Many have taken it to mean what you have,. lots of threads here on the topic.

A more appropriate place might be to look in Computers,. or Post Processing.
Search for "backup".

And yes, I don't see any sticky in either location.
