The male Royal Tern in the center had been courting the female on the right when a second male tried to make a move on the apple of his eye. The intruder got the message and moved on with his offering.

I'm working on a good number of Royal Tern shots from the same morning. This one isn't the best quality of the bunch but I like the moment captured.

"Mine..mine...mine" Great shot Steve, very comical! Or walk this way. So many funny captions come to mind.

Ha, he should of known a headless offering is never the way to a ladies heart which her suitor has obviously figured out. Excellent shot Steve with lots of character and a great story to tell.

a perfectly captured uninspiring moment isn't a good picture.

this moment is awesome, and the quality is high. great shot.
