Thank you guys. I have always shot handheld but really enjoyed the stacking technique, with 11x on a Newport 423 with a 5DIII and an MPE-65.

I see areas that are out of focus but now realize instead of twisting 10 threads I should try 5.

I also use the same gear you have.my micrometer is the hr-13.the increments will depend on what f/stop you,re at.better to overlap a bit,than to miss an area.
