Nice shots. Even knowing where to look, I have a tough time finding any type of owls during the day, and you got a fairly rare one.

They are in a deep thicket of willows and are about 8 to 10 feet above a creek that the nest is over. She was staring at me intensely. The trail is higher up so I was actually aiming down about a foot or so.
