Great shot Barry, looks like a great location. About how far away from you is the nest cavity?

Steve, The nest is about 30’ high in a dead pine tree on a south facing slope with the nest cavity facing north. This was taken from the high ground (north) looking towards the nest in late afternoon, hence the side light from the west and the almost horizontal perspective. I am guessing the distance of camera to bird here to be about 15 meters. I am most appreciative of any and all suggestions.

I'm experimenting with the available angles and this may be the best one. Thanks for your comment, John!

Thanks, Sandy! I hope I'm not overdoing post processing. The red is so vibrant you really don't have to tweak the color much at all.

Yes indeed, Steve. I've been working the light/angle as best as I can according to your advice. This may be as good as it gets given the lay of the land/trees/etc. Thank you very much!
