maternity shot

A shoot I did for some friends last week. Did the best i could considering it was a noon shoot. Used a gold reflector for fill.

Taking a look at these pics id like to say that i really like the poses on 1,3 & 4. That being said, I want to ask, Why did you decide to go with a gold reflector for the fill with this couple?
IMO, and please understand im not an expert, the gold is giving the subjects a weird color cast vs the background. Too warm, at first, i thought it was a WB issue but then i read about the gold reflector. May be its because ive never used the gold side of the reflector on my reflector and im just being a critique on something i dont really use. I have used silver side but even that is almost never. Do you have speed lights to use instead of the reflector for fill?

please forgive my intrusion but i did 2 edits of my own o you photos trying to keep that warm feeling throughout.. Lmk what you think or anyone can correct my critique to these pics as well.. its totally fine...

I'd try a bit of skin smoothing on her skin, especially her belly.

I thought the first wold make a good b&w.

The lighting and post processing is *really* harsh... I like the 1st one the best.

Other than the lighting, harsh shadows and bad color cast from the reflector, these are cool and fun poses.

First shot is the best...
Shot #2 is a little dark, some fill flash may have been a good idea...the pose may not be the most flattering for the model, her breasts appear to be going either way... :/
Not sure why maternity shots always have to include a bare belly.. :/... pretty sure I can tell a woman is pregnant without seeing that.. :/

Shot #3, composition is ok, but the gold reflector give the woman two skin tones, her stomach is a normal tone whilst her face and arm are yellow/green, making her appear a little sickly.

Shot #4, decent lighting, great expression from the man, I'd have asked the model to alter her head a little to add some shape to her jawline, the straight line of flesh between chin and neck could look better/more defined. Again a little too yellow on her face compared to stomach.

Last shot is humorous but suffers from obvious lighting issues..
