My photos are not as good as everyone else is getting of them, but at least I got-um! I had spotted one the night before, so I went out the next morning with camera in hand, and this male landed right in front of me. Don't you just love it when that happens!

1)Male Rose Breasted Grosbeak

2)The female version.

3)An immature male who refused to get off the ground. It was getting dark, which made things even more difficult to get a good shot.

4)They all love the man-made perches!

5)Last but not least...

C&C graciously accepted.

Very nice Sandy, I find these guy's to be very open to the idea that I might be in the yard. They just don't come for a visit that often this year so far

These are beautiful, Sandy. Just lovely. #1 and #5 remind me of a Japanese painting somehow. Beautiful.

Yay! Glad they finally arrived, Sandy! Lovely captures of one of my favorites!

I wonder if the cool spring has slowed their migration . . . believe it or now we still see and hear a few in our area.

Great job!

Thank you Craig. This crabapple tree is on my lawn. I wish the blossoms lasted longer.

Thank you Cheryl. Nothing like apple blossoms to make an awesome backdrop.

Thank you very much. Now that you mention the Japanese artwork, I totally agree!

Thank you Carol. I try to get as many bird pictures in this tree as I can. The blossoms are here for such a short time, especially if it rains. And no the Grosbeaks don't stick around, unfortunately!

Wonderful detail in #4 Sandy.

Thank you Jeremy. I still struggle to get sharp focus, but I will continue to practice.
