Had a Nat Geo moment in the parking lot at work. Start to finish approximately 15 minutes.

Dear halitime,

Since I am not familiar with native snakes of California but know a constrictor when I see one I an going to guess it's a variety of gopher snake, Pacific or Sonoran are my two best guesses?

I love snakes but never seem to have my camera when I see them.

Regards,

Tim Murphy :D

Nice series. I think Tim is right. It's a gopher snake which is very common in California

Snakes do a lot of good. Would you rather be over run with rats and mice ?
