Any reason to let Creative Cloud start every time I boot?

I HATE when programs think they have a right to slow down my computer by running in the background when they're not really needed. Is there really any reason the Creative Cloud app needs to be run at startup? Can it just be run every once in a while to check for updates?

That's what I do. Don't really need it running all the time.

I loathe it when programs do this too... so I've found "Disable Startup" - it's a nice little app that I have installed on all my computers now. It notifies me as soon as any program adds something to the startup menu, and gives me the option to disable it. (Or you can have it automatically disable without prompting if you want).

You'd be surprised how often things try to add to startup, especially by some of the bigger named companies out there.

CCleaner -- free's up disk space, cleans-up the registry and disables start-up items.

THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. Please log in to see the good quality stuff.

My anti-virus package keeps track of available updates, so I have no reason to have a half-dozen separate programs running to do to the same (each of which report info back to their publishers).

Click the start button, type msconfig in the search box, and hit enter. Wait a few seconds and the msconfig box will pop up. Go to the startup tab and uncheck what you don't want to start with Windows.
