Before I start bearing [Sp?] down too hard, how would I know when my Lenspen is worn out and that I'm ready for a new one?

I use my Lenspen on binocs with concave shaped optics. The concave shaped Lenspen thus wears on the outer edges MUCH faster. When it wears down to just the rubber you're at risk of getting rubber smudges on your optics. If there's plenty of felt, I'd say its a performance issue, ie is your gear getting clean, that determines when its done. Do NOT bear down with the Lenspen. Should there be an entrapped piece of hard grit (grain of sand) you'd be sorry!
