Northern Shovelers in Yukon

There must be a joke in there about Northern Shovelers returning to Yukon in spring after our driveways are clear of snow (no shovelling left to do).

These ducks are a favourite of mine.

Today, the light was very dull but with a higher ISO it worked well as long as he didn't move too quickly.

Not sure how much help they'd be on your driveway Sue, but there's little doubt how they earned their name.
Beautifully colored guy and the portrait in your 1st image really does him justice. High ISO or not it's well executed. Nice job.
