I apologize if I'm not being detailed enough right now, but I don't have my camera with me at the moment.

I have a 6D, and when my flash is attached, two things are bothering me that didn't use to happen. The first is, everything keeps flashing in the display window of the flash. I use it on manual, and the "M", as well as the power ("1/1, 1/2, etc...) keeps flashing.

The second thing is, I can't change the 'spread' of the flash. It is displaying 14mm, and I used to shoot at 105mm usually. I tried holding down every button possible, but nothing will let me change it.

Is there something in the settings of the camera that may be causing this? I had a T3i and never had any issues.

Thanks,

~Ace

it sounds as if you have the wide panel extended and are trying to bounce your flash. put the panel back in and see if it doesn't fix your "problem"

Freakin' sweet! You are correct! I never even thought about that being an issue, and didn't realize the flash would know when it was extended. Thanks a ton!!!

^This, I had the same thing happen, scratching my head for a few minutes trying to figure out why. Then it dawned on me, I had that wide panel out and was trying to bounce the flash. Pushed the panel back in and flashing menu stopped. Also when you push it back in make sure you get it all the way in.

Beat me to the post..

I forgot about the panel because I have a plastic diffuser covering the flash and it was hidden. A while back, another photographer asked if my flash had the panel, and I guess I left it down when showing him...then covered it up with the diffuser, lol.
