Thanks to all who participated in this thread. I went with the 5D3. I am loving it! The 6D is no slouch, but for what I wanted, the 5D3 was the answer.

Great camera! Have fun with it and post photos :D

My only real complaint about the 6D is the lack of AF points. I came from a 1DMKii which used a 21 point system; the 11 point system does annoy me quite often, but not enough to justify the price difference for a 5DMKiii....just yet.

I think this is what I would say...even using the 7D I liked the AF points. 6D umm ya it's okay.

Although the built in Wifi option is A-Mazing for architectural and whenever you need to do multiple shots remotely. Haven't used the GPS option honestly as I don't travel much and don't really do a lot of tagging.

I just need a 24' stand now so I can do more creative shots from above

You can easily and fairly cheaply convert the 5D3 over to full wireless control with a couple different tablet apps, and a USB wireless device attached to the 5D3. Not as pristine as the 6D, but battery life on the 5D3 will be longer than the 6D with this, and you get focus stacking, time lapse, focus peaking, etc. too.

So for those that still lean toward the 5D3 but want wireless, there is an easy way to get it.
