Wow Gene, hummers in a botanical garden have got to feel like they've died and gone to hummer Heaven. :)
Love your series showing these little acrobatic aces in action. I'd agree w/Rog too that they appear to love to live dangerously with some of those thorns around. Nice job!

I should have checked to see just what kind of plant that was with all those long thorns. It was either a very large bush or a small tree. :D Watching confirmed just how much these guys are precision flyers.

I like the first shot best but the 3rd one would top it in my mind if his wings had been caught more in action. He appears to be just hanging vertically from the flower now.
