See, this is why I don't call myself a birder. Even on a good day I couldn't get this sort of variety and quality. Hummingbirds, yeah, but they come to me.

Anyway, that's my long-winded way of saying "Great job!". :)

Great shots, John. Looks like you might have gone to the Sierra Valley/Yuba Pass area. Yuba Pass is the only place I've seen yellow/orange Cassin's Finches.

Some nifty shots here, John. As horned larks are one of earliest migrants, as in still snow on the ground, I'm surprised you found them in California; but then, what do I know.
