Hey guys, has anyone here used JTL lighting? How are they? Especially the JTL-200 and the JTL-160, I have tested them in a studio and they worked out pretty good, I know alot here uses Alienbees, but I know there are some also who are willing or have tried using others, such as JTL, Britek and others.

Thanks

wow! i am still surprised that no one is using JTL lights here, well I was in Samys today and almost got myself a set of Photogenic lights, but before I whipped out my credit card, I said I will be back within this week, I have to CONSULT my POTN mentors, heheh!

So what do you think of Photogenic lights? Are they good?

Thanks

You might try asking the question over on the fredmiranda.com lighting forum, you might get more feedback.

I don't have them, but the folks I know that use them seem to really like them.

Photogenic has a long and highly-regarded reputation as a maker of professional strobes. I'd go with them. I have looked at the JTL's in a store, and they look well-made, but who knows how easy they are to get serviced, or whether the importer will be in business next year.
