Good Morning Folks!!!

I'd like to help out at the kid's school by donating some of my photos. There's a fundraiser in three weeks where I'd like to put up some prints for sale for the school's benefit.

What's a good poster size and where to get the cheapest (yet still decent enough quality to hang, stick, frame) paper poster prints, please?

I was also asked about blank post/greeting cards as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The cheaper the prints, the more money for the school :)

Thanks in advance ..

I've had pretty good success with shortrunposters.com - I wrote a little review of them around here somewhere. The prints are on thick matte paper, not thin slick high-gloss stock. The "feel" is not really like a photo print, it's more like a lithograph.

Pros: Price ($3 for 18x24), customer service
Cons: High shipping price for small orders, relatively long turnaround time. [disclaimer, I'm spoiled by Amazon Prime]

also check out Costco, some of them do a pretty good job, kind of depends on who runs that department and how much they know. Do a test print, if it's not to your liking you probably don't even have to pay for it and/or they'll try to fix it.

HP MagCloud will do 12x18 posters for $2.00. You need to upload your source material as a pdf. magcloud.com

WOW! $2.00!! I will have to check them out; if the quality is good enough, I might be able to ask $8 or so for the 18x12. Make $5 apiece!

Thank you all for the input; I will check each one of them out before deciding.

I've done posters, "hobby" magazines, calendars, commemorative booklets, and product catalogs with MagCloud, and have always been pleased. Printing is done on HP Indigo printers. The posters are on heavy, coated stock and can be printed on both sides if desired (handy if you want to include photographer and subject info, etc., but don't want to clutter up the picture side.

MagCloud just merged with Blurb but I haven't ordered anything since that happened; don't know how that will change things in the long run.

I do all my layout with Microsoft Publisher. I export images from Lightroom and import them into Publisher.
