Not sure about you guys but I really like the Oil paint effect on my pic....

Nice photo. The effect is nice, but I honestly don't like the black border at all. Distracts and doesn't really go with the soft feel.

I like it too, but now that the frame has been brought to my attention, it may not be the best choice!

If you could figure out a way to do this kind of edge as a border instead of the black, I think it would be much more like what you're going for with the painted look. In photoshop it would be as easy as finding the proper brush with the right texture and using white paint to make it seem like it's a painting with unfinished edges.
