One of the things I notice with this picture is that the perceived sharpness of her wrap, the part closest to the camera, makes the perceived lack of sharpness of her skin, look 'wrong' for a lack of a better word. This could be an uploading effect, but if it is accurate, I would be tempted to slightly sharpen her face and slightly de-sharpen her wrap.

Beautiful model, pose and lighting.

Hockey and wedding photographer. Favourite camera / lens combos: a 1DX II with a Tamron 45 1.8 VC, an A7Rii with a Canon 24-70F2.8L II, and a 5DSR with a Tamron 85 1.8 VC. Every lens I own I strongly recommend [Canon (35Lii, 100L Macro, 24-70F2.8ii, 70-200F2.8ii, 100-400Lii), Tamron (45 1.8, 85 1.8), Sigma 24-105]. If there are better lenses out there let me know because I haven't found them.

We have 80 hours of rain coming according to the forecast here in Toronto - so raincoat shots of my daughter and I.

Believe it or not, was out at bike race all Sunday and drained the 1DXii, which I didn't know, so after the first shot of myself with the 1DXii, the battery drained so I then just attached the A7Rii to the 100-400Lii which was mounted on the tripod. I had to change the Canon Hotshoe 600EX-rt flash from ETTL, bounced off ceiling, to EXT M mode and then plugged in the ISO and F stop. I had two Ice Lights, one above and one below our faces. In post processing I decided to go for a High Key look to her shot.

great image - i would try and even out the exposure on her arms and bring the exposure of her left arm below that of her face and hair

love the yellow!

you post a lot of pictures of your daughter, but this is one of the very best

if she isn't modelling already, you should get her started to pay for college

i might suggest, when shooting the 135 from that close, to stop it down to F4 for some extra DoF

excellent as usual

i know i've said this before, but you make that Fuji and 56mm F1.2 do fantastic things

i'm already committed to Canon and Sony but you really make me want to buy that exact setup to give it a try
