Well ... there's no way that this qualifies as a headshot ... that is unless we completely redefine the meaning of 'headshot' to be any person-focused shot with a head somewhere included in it.

But it's a terrific photograph ... I really, really like it .... a lot.

If your friend was referring to American style football, his remark is probably due to the shape of your hat. It is the type of hat Paul Bear Bryant usually wore when on the sidelines. He was a very successful college football coach at the University of Alabama. Other than Vince Lombardi, Paul Bear Bryant is probably the best known American Football coaches of all times. He wore that style of hat. Only difference is the ones he wore were usually plaid.
