Not knowing the subject, this might be his normal look, or the look he wanted to achieve. But I feel like he's sneering instead of smiling. Not that every headshot has to follow the Peter Hurley formula, but I do feel that expression is what separates a technically good headshot from an outstanding one. And trust me, I know how difficult it can be to get good expressions out of most people. -- Mark | Gear | Flickr

Mar 11, 2015 20:01 | #474 ChrisNL wrote in post #17469711 I agree wholeheartedly. He was very nervous getting his picture taken, and this was actually after he loosened up a bit, ha ha! Here is another. Is the expression here a bit better, do you think? Yes, this expression is better. I think I like the first pose/comp better tho. I find it very hard to get a rap going if you're not shooting portraits all the time. -- Mark | Gear | Flickr

Client was concerned about her fair skin and didn't want to appear pale, but now it looks a little too magenta? IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/qD5NSj My name is Jeff, not actually Jose Canseco.

It looks a little dark on one side of the photos.
