It looks a little dark on one side of the photos. And yeah, her skin is a bit too off, but not horribly. Might look at your levels to see what can be done. Thanks for the feedback! I was using a white reflector for her images. They both wanted some shadows on one side (they didn't want to appear too corporate) so I backed the reflector off a bit for her shots, and removed it completely for his set. My name is Jeff, not actually Jose Canseco.

Client was concerned about her fair skin and didn't want to appear pale, but now it looks a little too magenta? ![]() ![]() The crop is very awkward on #2. Client was concerned about her fair skin and didn't want to appear pale, but now it looks a little too magenta? ![]() This is a nice shot, especially for your first time. The only thing I would point to as a flaw is his jawline gets lost in the shadow. Stylistically, I'd raise the key light a bit, increase the fill light and maybe crop differently, (not quite as tight and offset a bit more to frame right), but my style (or anyone else's) doesn't need to be your style. JoseCanseco wrote in post #17471726 ![]() This one does seem a bit too magenta. Also, be careful of bulges and wrinkles caused by certain head position. I would have tried having the subject tilt her head to camera left and extend towards the camera to clean up the bulge on the right side of her face and wrinkles in her neck. I like the evenness of the light, but again I'd prefer the key light higher. Finally, for a headshot the crop should be tighter IMHO; this is technically a head-and-shoulders shot. But there seems to be a loose interpretation of that here. -- Mark | Gear | Flickr
