I work in what is probably a faily typical large (>10,000 office workers) corporation.

our corporate directory is all tight headshots (as in 1" above head, 3" below chin crop type stuff).

The photos are 85px square in list mode, 135px in 'big' mode when looking at an individual profile. The size of the image necessitates a tight crop tbh.

Thanks for the additional info.

To refer back to a previous point: These looks are intended for mass-produced headshots: Getting a consistent look for a lot of employees, potentially on different days and at different locations.

I have a client on Monday that's paying my full-day rate to shoot about 50 employees, so I won't get to spend an hour getting to know each person and tailoring the style to every individual face and personality. I gave my contact this style sheet and they want look #1; I'll ask if they want me to deliver both a close and a loose crop. I can do minor adjustments to lighting and posing but for the most part it's going to be basic lighting (flat, or 1:2 ratio) with a hair light, and spending most of my effort trying to get a natural smile & expression.

My previous client also wanted look #1 and specifically asked for a loose crop.

Can't say I've ever seen a person with yellow eyes before.

No colour added to her eyes. Only slightly brightened them with a curves adjustment layer.

Might want to darken the pupil a little, she looks like she has glaucoma.

I think you might try toning down the processing. Her skin texture resembles orange peel which I am sure is not the case in real life :-)

My wife... playing with my new garage studio. Thanks to dedpxl for recommending the Wescott stretch background. No wrinkles ever!
