These are beautifully lit (and executed). Would you care to share your lighting setup?

Modyo,
Yet another cracking portrait. You have a way to capture a certain moodiness in your your subjects and I love it.

I love it! i wish I got to use backgrounds like that more. I think that's wonderful. My clients always want me to retouch those strays. An easy way is to shoot locked down on a tripod. On the last frame of each set, turn off auto focus. On my Nikon lenses there's a switch on the barrel of the lens that I use. So my focus point was locked on the subject, I turn off the focus, then have the subject clear the frame, then shoot the background as a backplate. Now, in post, bring both layers into PS with the no subject layer on top masked. Now instead of cloning hair, you're wiping it away with a white brush. Works great for outdoor and the view through the window too!

That's really a great point. I'll be sure to do that on final delivery! Thanks!

I love this shade of blue. I think it's Misty Blue by Savage?

In my modest home studio with a less than 9' ceiling. Hand painted background from local Franklin Backdrops! I'm starting to retouch that center catch from the fill light out. Probably should do it on this one. What do you think?

I think that often, an imperfect catch light is better than none... not much room here to fake it, so I'd keep it as is, it does add a little more life to the eyes...
Nice shot whichever way you go.

She is looking to build out a website as a life coach. At my home studio. Mola Beauty dish (small one) 7' Westcott umbrella behind the camera, white reflector out of frame bouncing up the key light for fill.
