Wondering if you can configure Photoshop to view at accurate viewing percentages like 25%, 50%, 100%, and so on skipping the 24.88% that gets displayed and seems completely inaccurate on my display. Is it possible?

Hmm, I don't know that you can configure it, I admit ignorance. You can type in the zoom percentage in the little zoom text box that's at the bottom of the screen, but other wise View/Actual Pixels (Ctl/Cmd + 1) is the only thing I'm aware of, sure though it would be nice to have so you could quickly move through your "good" zooms!

If you repeat the keyboard shortcut CMD+ or CMD- (PC, use the CTRL key combined with the plus or minus key) you will zoom progressively in the "proper" increments - 25 > 33 > 50 > 100 > 200 etc. "+" zooms in, "-" zooms out.

CMD1 zooms to 100% and CMD0 (zero) fits to window.

Perfect! I'll give this a shot!

Ctl/Cmd +/- cycles between 25, 33, 50, 66, 100, and then multiples of 100%. So, if you want to avoid 33 and 66, you'll want to stick to the little top zoom window that edsport shows above for just 25, 50, 100 and 200 (or type it in in the bottom window).

I myself was never bothered about the "mid-zooms", although I don't mess with PS enough to actually care:)!

I thought that was a problem with earlier versions of PS, but thought it was corrected in CS5 or CS6.

I don't know about CS6, but with CS5 it's like what I described.

One thing I have heard is that the "tweener" settings, the 33% and the 66%, have been improved for a better "look". I don't know, and honestly it doesn't move me to latch onto CS6, mainly because I'm not fussy about the "look". If I need to zoom in for details, it's 100%. If I want to zoom in for the "look", 50% or Full Screen is fine!

Sorry, that's what I meant that got fixed - the look, not the actual %'s. :)

If you enable GPU processing, in between zooms are supposed to be rendered smoothly. I think this started in CS5.
