I've known these owls were there for some time but have never been able to find them, until this week. Turns out finding them is only a small part of the battle. Their camouflage is excellent and of course they hang out in the dark part of the woods. At any rate....

Easy to see from your captures Dave why they were hard to locate. There's a lot of blending in going on there!
Looks like you found a young one or 2 as well and found a way to pull them out of the camo. Love images of young owls....nicely done.
