Are there any backpacks that have a space between your back and the backpack that allow for ventilation to stop you from sweating? I love my Clik Elite, but it doesn't allow my back to breath after a few hours. I'm worried that it will eventually stain and/or smell. For the cost I can't replace it every year.

Or, long shot here, is there a backpack that can be washed?

I'm sure you can wash the backpacks...just not dried in a dryer. It would probably have to be air dried.

Hmmm, funny you should mention TT as I've been considering a Mindshift, their spinoff company. The pack (external link) I'm interested in has the same "air mesh channel".

MindShift products are great products too. Expect the same quality. If you're the type that is more adventurous/active and a hiker, the MindShift is geared towards those type of people.

My lowpro 350 AW worked great when i was hiking. It is a big bag but it breathed great.
