Baltimore Oriole & Red-headed Woodpecker

Our field trip earlier in the week produced a couple more colorful results. I've tried for years to get a Baltimore oriole unobstructed by leaves; this one is just the right balance. And red-headed woodpeckers are always a special treat.

Both fantastic Al, the Oriole I had fly in was only here for seconds and not seen since. He was specifically looking for a feeder I think, he was intent at looking around the red hummer feeder then off he goes

Thank you everyone; I appreciate your kind comments.

I agree the orioles often perch high, so I was glad to find this one at eye level for once. And we have to drive an hour or so to find the red-heads; they are in country where cattle graze and keep the undergrowth down around large trees, perfect savannah habitat.
